About Crushed Stone and Road Construction In other words, approximately eight tons of aggregates are used for every American each year. That’s 16,000 pounds or a total of 107 average sized people standing on the scale at one time!

. . . and that crushed stone is becoming a critical tool used to protect our environment. Erosion control programs require stone. Water and sewer facilities use stone and sand for filtration systems. Utility power plants use crushed stone to reduce sulfur dioxide that produces acid rain. Rogers Group has been nationally recognized for our environmental efforts.
